BlocLog support

BlocLog is a climbing logbook for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. For help, a bug report or a feature request, email apps@paulrenger.de. Include your device, its iOS or watchOS version, and the BlocLog version (Settings → Version).

Common questions

Do I need an account? No. Your logbook stays on your devices, with optional iCloud sync and backup under your own Apple Account.

Can I record on iPad? No. iPad shows your logbook; record sessions on iPhone or Apple Watch.

My Watch session isn't on my iPhone. Open BlocLog on both devices while they're near each other. Sessions sync when both apps can reach each other.

Heart rate or calories are missing. Check that BlocLog has access in the Health app (Sharing → Apps → BlocLog) and that Health recording was on for the session.

I deleted a session but the workout is still in Health. Deleting from BlocLog doesn't remove workouts already saved to Apple Health. Delete them in the Health app.

How do I move my logbook to a new phone? Turn on iCloud sync, or export your logbook in Settings → Export & import and import the file on the new phone.

Can I import sessions from another climbing app? Yes, from supported apps. In Settings → Export & import, choose the exported session files and review the grade mappings before importing.
